How to Make Lots of Money With Google AdSense

Some of you are probably wondering how you can make more money with Google AdSense. Below is a great tip on how to make more money online with Google AdSense.

There are many tips out there on how to make more money with AdSense and some of them work to a certain extent but most of those people who suggest certain strategies to make money with Google AdSense haven't even seen a Google paycheck.

If you want to make money with Google AdSense try the following tip and you may be more successful with AdSense.

Simple sites make more money with AdSense.

You may be thinking this isn't right but there has been a bunch of research done on this. One of the great AdSense gurus out there Michael Green did a test on his website by making it more simplistic and by doing so increased his CTR (Click-through-rate) from 30% to 40%.

Now you still may not believe this is true but what do you think happens to a user that is overwhelmed by too many options? Would that user possibly get overwhelmed by all the options and possibly not click on anything?

Why not open up a new browser tab and go to Google and do a search there. Did you notice how simple the layout of their search results are? It is very simple because people can follow it easily and therefore are more likely to click on the ads that are showing on the page.

Why not try a more simple version of your website and see if you can increase your income with AdSense?

Paying for Website Visitors: The Allure of PPC for Small Biz Owners

There are good reasons why many webmasters and website owners choose to pay for visitors to their website as opposed to the involved and often grueling method of search engine optimization. Improper SEO may not only waste time and resources, there is never a guarantee that what your site is optimized for will result in actual sales or conversions. Choosing Bid for Placement advertising can help ensure that you get what you pay for and pay as little as possible to do it.

How You Know if Pay Per Click is Right for You
The single biggest mistake most PPC advertisers make is paying a higher amount for visitors than they can afford. Pay per click search engines are ideal to generate traffic if you already know what it costs to generate one sale or conversion. By not going over their predetermined amount, advertisers can dramatically increase the likelihood of their websites' success.

High-End Pay Per Click is Not Right For You if…
There are millions of websites online but only a small percentage of these sites can benefit from the traffic that high-end PPC resources such as Google Adwords or Overture provide. When it comes to generating conversions from the top-tier of PPC's, low profit margin categories of business (members of affiliate programs for example) would do well to avoid higher priced bid for placement search engines (as bid prices are often too high) and focus on 2nd tier pay per click services or vertical portals working on a bid for placement model.

How to Choose A PPC That is Right For Your Campaign
When choosing a PPC campaign for your website, take into account not only bid prices, but traffic volume, customer service and account management tools.

Check Bid Prices
A significant mistake that novice PPC advertisers make is to jump immediately into the largest advertising networks, namely Google Adwords and Overture. While these PPC's certainly have the most extensive reach, bid prices per visitor are higher than any other network and can easily drain your account before even one visitor converts. Check bid prices before signing on anywhere and match as closely as possible to what you have determined you can pay for each website visitor.

Inquire about Customer Service
No thanks to their size, larger PPC's usually have much less attentive customer service (unless you are one of the larger advertisers - this means spending $10,000 a month or more). Many second tier PPC's pride themselves on their attentive customer service. Always ask your PPC company if they can help advise you before and during your campaign to ensure the highest ROI.

Investigate the "Reach"
Bid for placement search engines (PPC) are simply advertising networks that help you spread your message to their users. As some PPC networks have greater access to more users, it is important to investigate the reach not only of their own network but the network size of their partners. When speaking with sales or customer representatives ask for a list of their partners.

Top Tips for Success with PPC

There have been many small business website owners who have lost their proverbial shirts with bid for placement advertising. Case study after case study has shown that the reason that most fail with PPC is a lack of understanding on how to maximize the bid for placement model to their advantage across various networks simultaneously. Here are a few tips to make the most of an online advertising campaign using a PPC methodology:

1) PPC success resides in your titles and descriptions:

Well-written titles and descriptions can make or break a PPC advertising campaign the same way they affect traditional search return listings. The most important thing to keep in mind when writing titles and descriptions is that you are not only speaking directly to the searcher, you have an obligation to explain your product or service so that it either elicits a positive response sufficient enough to motivate them to click or discourage them from clicking altogether if what you are offering is not what they are actually looking for. When writing titles and descriptions, focus on the specifics of what that user will find at your site, i.e. special deals or discounts, signup information for a newsletter, registration for an e-book, etc.

2) Use Specific Terms for Specific Pages

By bidding on specific terms related to your business and directing visitors to specific pages which represent those terms, conversion rates on this practice increase dramatically. Imagine conducting a search and finding a great title and description but then having to go through hundreds of page to locate the information. When “landing pages” are created which offer information on what the surfer originally searched for, chances are that they will take the action you want them to, whether it be signing up for a newsletter or purchasing a product. A common rule of thumb is to have no more than fifty terms per page that you are promoting on a PPC.

3) Be Passive or Aggressive, but be something.

Most PPC advertisers are either passive PPC players or aggressive marketers. The secret behind PPC marketing is that these networks’ partner with other networks to display advertisers’ advertisements. So the higher you bid on a PPC, the better placement you will receive on network/partner sites. Bidding in this manner makes you an aggressive PPC marketer and the advantages are many and include – more traffic and more exposure to target markets.

If a small website (or one of a low profit-margin category of business) decides that the traffic that each PPC network alone provides is sufficient, managers of the campaign must be aware of their bid amounts (overbidding or underbidding) as well as what can afford to pay for each visitor. Usually the top four positions are where most of the traffic is received from - the highest percentage of total clicks (thanks to partner networks). The number of clicks in your account will usually decrease incrementally based on your bid.

CONCLUSION: PPC advertising has proven to be a productive method of generating traffic (and more importantly) sales or conversions for many webmasters and web site owners. If you are thinking about trying your hand at pay per click, make sure to use the tips outlined in this article and ask others PPC advertisers if they have any advice!

Quickly drive traffic to your site with pay per click advertising. While Search Engine Optimisation takes time to attain good ranking in the natural listings, takes time and is an ongoing process of adding fresh content and link building, pay per click calls for a shorter time.

Even if you already have a well optimised site, there may be some extra key words that you would want to rank well in the search engines. At the same time, you may also want those key words which are less competitive to rank well. PPC - Pay Per Click Advertising offers a good solution to all these problems. You can find your site on the top listings with paid inclusion. Make sure that your advert copy and your web site both are relevant to the search term.

Get targeted traffic to your web site. With pay per click advertising, it is easily measurable, all your search engines provide conversion tracking and offers a better Return On Investment. You don't have to pay for your advert. Pay per click campaigns do not require you to pay for your ad, instead you pay only for the clicks on the link of your ad. So shell no money on your advertising campaign if your link has not been followed.

Choose your own set of key words which you feel will be important according to search engines. But don't forget the fact that the price of click is affected by the popularity of your key word. So choose your key words carefully.

Increase or decrease your daily budget based on your ppc results. Once your budget amount is hit, your ads will no longer display. PPC Internet advertising campaigns help you to target your campaigns effectively based on your own keywords which will make sure that you are reaching the right audience.

How To Make Money With Google AdSense

Google AdSense is a Pay Per Click affiliate program which tens of thousands of webmasters use to make money from their websites and blogs. New internet marketers often confuse the AdSense program with Google's counterpart: AdWords. So let's summarize the difference between the two...

AdSense is the program which allows you to place Google Advertisements onto your website or blog, and each time one of your visitors clicks those ads, you make money into your Google AdSense account. Once you've earned at least $100 in clicks, Google will send you a check the following month.

AdWords is where those ads come from. Advertisers go to Google and sign up for the AdWords advertising program. They then create advertisements for their websites and products, and enter how much money per click they are willing to pay each time someone clicks on their ads. AdWords advertisers must pay Google money to keep those ads running. The money paid to Google by those advertisers, is what Google shares with AdSense publishers.

Now, making money with AdSense is fairly simple, but it's not always overly easy. In most cases, you have to generate a lot of traffic to your websites and blogs in order to earn a lot of money from AdSense, because sometimes you are only paid a few cents each time someone clicks an ad. There are a few topics however, which will let you earn $1 or sometimes even as much as $10, each time someone clicks an ad on your site, but these are becoming less common each year.

There are several ways to make money with AdSense, and they all tend to revolve around creating content on a website. The most popular way is to set up a free blog, and then put the AdSense code on that blog. Then you simply make one or more blog posts every day, and generate traffic to that site. Over time as your traffic grows, some of those visitors will click your ads and you'll make money.

The second popular way to make money with AdSense, is to create general information style websites. Some people create many sites with just five or ten articles on each, and some people create larger sites which might have twenty to fifty articles on them. Creating a huge website with hundreds or thousands of articles on it is an excellent way to make money from AdSense too, but that usually takes some time to set up.

These types of "static" websites tend to be popular because once you get the initial content in place, all you have to do is start generating traffic. Unlike a blog you don't usually have to update a static site often.

One other excellent way to make money from AdSense is to start a website that's based on a forum. Starting a forum about a popular topic can often bring thousands of visitors back to the site every day. And some of those visitors will click ads that interest them. It takes time to built up a lot of traffic and members to a forum, but it can be a very lucrative way to make money from AdSense once you've become established.

Website Survival - Using Pay Per Click to Generate Traffic

If you have a website, you probably realize that the success of it depends on traffic. Traffic is the lifeblood of your business. Therefore traffic generation for your web site is of the utmost importance to you. Even if you're a newbie, you probably realize this fact. However, what you might not know is how to generate the traffic that you need. In fact, you might not have the slightest clue where to start. If you're feeling discouraged, don't worry. There are plenty of great ways to generate traffic. Let's look at one of the most popular ways to generate traffic.

One of the best and easiest ways to get people to your website is through pay-per-click advertising. Pay-per-click advertising is exactly what it sounds like. You pay someone every time someone clicks on your ad. You don't pay for them to see your ad, just if they click on it. This means that for a certain amount of money, you'll be getting a guaranteed amount of visitors. How exactly do you go about using pay-per-click to your advantage?

The first step you need to take is to set up an account with one of the companies that use pay-per-click advertising. The two most popular companies that use this form of advertising are Google and Yahoo. Google does the vast majority of the business in this area, so you'll definitely want to set up an account with them. Their service is called AdWords and it's pretty simple to get started. Just go to Google's website and they walk you through setting up your account.

Once you get your account set up, you can customize the settings to fit the needs of your add campaign. In your AdWords account, you get to insert a list of keywords that you want your ad to appear for. This means that if you type in the word "apple", every time someone types in apple into the search box on Google, your ad will appear. Therefore, you have to choose the keywords that are best related to your product or website. The more specific you can be the better. It's usually a good idea to use phrases that include your keyword as well. This will bring you more highly targeted traffic.

Then once you come up with your list of keywords, you get to choose your cost-per-click for each keyword. This means, you get to decide how high you are willing to bid for each keyword. Each time someone clicks search in Google, a bidding war is going on between the advertisers. The advertiser that pays the most gets to be in the first position at the top. Therefore, you need to determine how much you're willing to spend for each visitor. After you've done that you can even set your daily budget. This means that your budget won't go over your limit, which prevents you from spending too much.

Pay-per-click advertising is one of the fastest ways of traffic generation for your website. Just remember, that it costs money for each visitor...so spend wisely!

10 Great Things NOT To Do With Google AdSense

There is no question that you can make some good money with Google AdSense, but you’re setting yourself up for disaster if you make any of these Top 10 mistakes!

1. Do not use fake information when opening your Google AdSense account.

Google says that’s a no-no and they will cut your account off and keep all the money you may have earned. Besides, trying to hide your true identity can cause serious problems with the I.R.S. or whoever your tax authority is.

2. Do not hack or modify Google AdSense code other than to change the parameters that Google authorizes you to change.

Any attempt to bypass Google’s built-in algorithms not only poses a danger to the integrity of the network, but it threatens the financial modle that Google operates under. You’re not dealing with some Mom-and-Pop company here, and Google has the legal muscle and deep enough pockets to drag you through every court in the land if you damage their business with your hacking antics.

3. Keep AdSense ads off of your registration, confirmation, and all "thank you" pages.

Don’t ask me why you can’t put your ads there. It makes sense to me that those would be wonderful locations. Google thinks otherwise, however, and doing so is a hanging offense according to their Terms of Service.

4. Do not display AdSense ads and a competitor's ads (like Overture's) on the same page at the same time.

That just makes plain good sense. Google doesn’t demand 100% SITE loyalty from you, but they do insist that their own ads not be cluttered up by offerings from their competitors.

5. Don't "beg for clicks" or provide any incentive for clicking on your Google AdSense ads.

This is a biggie and you see this rule violated all the time. Any of the “get paid to do stuff” sites that put Google ads in the member’s control panels are walking the plank and they don’t even realize it. Even those sites with the polite little messages asking you to “help keep my site running by clicking on our sponsor’s ads” are asking to be cut off if those happen to be Google ads.

6. Never click on the ads running on your own site, even if you are genuinely interested in the product or service and are thinking of buying it!

Should You Split-Test Your Pay Per Click Advertisements?

Most pay per click advertisers have been told to split-test their advertisements. But very few do it. Why is that? Well, most advertisers fail to understand the value of the split-testing and others think it will be too difficult. Split-testing is not difficult, and here are three reasons why you need to split-test:

1. Split-testing allows you to see what works. The formula you use for an advertisement in one niche may not work in another. What worked last month might not work anymore. Split-testing allows you to identify what works better.

2. Split-testing allows you to learn more about your customers. When you split test you can learn critical things about your niche: what is more important to your customers - free shipping or a clear understanding of the price? If you split-test, you can find out.

3. Split-testing allows you to improve your click through rates. In the long run this will increase your quality score and will reduce your bid prices. That means you will save money because you split test.

Split-testing will add a little bit of time to your efforts, but it is an investment. You will learn about your ads, your customers, and your niche. When you are successful with split-testing, you will even see your ad costs reduced, because the search engines reward you for having ads that convert to clicks. Split-testing is all about continuous learning and continuous improvement. When presented with the opportunity, you should continue to learn more about split-testing and anything else that can improve your ad performance.

Using Google Adsense To Help You Earn Extra Money

Once you have decided that you would like to make some money on the Internet, it might be hard to try to figure out exactly how you can. One easy way to start off is to put Google AdSense on your website, if you have one. Google AdSense are the ads that you see on people’s websites where it says “ads by Google”, and also show up at the right hand side when you search on Google’s website. If you have a page with AdSense on it, and someone clicks on it, you will get paid for the click. It can be a simple way to earn some extra income on your website, or a way to start earning income.

If you already have a website, and traffic going to that website, you can easily get an AdSense account from Google, and add a few ads to your site. The great thing is that the ads will be on the same topic as your website is, so the person who is visiting your site has a good chance of being interested in the ad. If they are interested, and click on the ad, you will get paid for it.

If on the other hand you don’t have a website up, this can be a good time to start one. This shows you that you don’t even need to be selling a product in order to earn an income. If you have a lot of knowledge on a certain topic, you can start a website on that topic. You can get a domain name, hosting, and put up a lot of information on the topic that you are interested in, and know a lot about. You can then add the Google AdSense ads, and you will be able to make money.

If you have a lot of knowledge on a particular topic, but don’t want to spend any money at all, you can still use Google AdSense to earn money. There are many places you can start a blog for free, such as at Blogger. Here you will be able to start your blog completely for free, and still be able to earn income from AdSense, which is great. You will just have to put the time into getting all of the information about your topic so that other people will be interested in reading it. Another way to earn income from Google AdSense is to find a website that will share the income with you. There are many forums, or other sites like Squidoo that will share any income they earn through AdSense with you. So completely for free, you can set up a page or more with information, and end up earning money.

This is a great way for someone who is new to making money on the web to get started. It can be a very low cost (if you get your own domain and hosting), or even free to start, and you can start making money right away. While most clicks only give you a few cents here and there, they definitely add up, and before you know it you can be making a decent amount of money through Google AdSense!

Get More Customers With Pay Per Click Or PPC Advertising

Pay per click or PPC is exactly that, every time a person clicks on an ad you have running, a fee is assessed. It may seem that PPC can easily get out of hand, and if you are not carefully monitoring your ads it could, but by understanding the amount of money you have per ad campaign, you should be fine and can make money.

All of this is based on if everything is done correctly. If you invest $300 on a PPC campaign that makes for you $200, then you did not make any money but rather owe money, which is not a good thing. The best advise is to start investing a little bit of money in PPC and start testing how much you can make from the amount of money you put into the campaign.

I suggest starting out a campaign with only 10% of what you are willing to spend as a maximum. Create a few PPC ads and test the amount of sales you can make and other factors like which keywords sells the most and at what times do the products sell the most as well. Don't forget to test region ad options as well.

After you get things to run smoothly, you should be able to make 50% to even 500% more than what you spend on advertising, very possible. You will find that PPC advertising reaches a lot of people that can't wait to buy what you are selling. You will also see your traffic increase and clicks for sales increase as you build your PPC campaigns. Be patient and make sure your PPC campaigns are running smoothly to make money.

What is Google AdSense?

In the mid 1990’s websites used to earn income by receiving money from advertisers by publishing or allowing companies to deploy a banner ad campaign on your website. Usually these banners would be brilliantly designed to catch the eye of the consumer along with a short message. The website in turn would receive a tiny profit from a click-through, which was when a customer actually clicked on the banner and went into the website and purchased the product. This was considered traffic-driven income. It was the industry standard until Google came along.

Google has since revolutionized the click-through market by using an innovative approach to advertising, Google AdSense. The beauty behind getting involved with Google now more than any other search engine is due to Google’s straightforward approach to a banner/content-free home page. You would sign up your website for affiliation with Google and upon approval your site would be given special code to place the targeted ads on your website. Basically saving Google the space and inconvenience of having to deal with banner ads.

You still may be wondering what Google AdSense actually does. AdSense is a program in which you get paid for targeting your readers to another websites product or service.

A click through is measured when someone actually clicks on the hyperlink. Many web sites now have Google AdSense ads employed. Google AdSense uses Google AdWords content and services in a display box that you place strategically on your website. Google AdWords customers pay Google a determined amount of money which will be paid to the website from Google. Since the popularity of Google has risen to such prominence, AdSense affiliates can make a nice amount of money should they be able to deploy the Google AdSense box properly on their website.
Other sites like Earthlink and Ask.com also employ the same technologies through click through methodologies. The more people that visit popular sites and see your name or hyperlink associated with a product the better chance your site will be seen. Remember, you will be paid a small amount per click for some websites and much more for others. What determines the amount is how much the AdWords advertiser places on each click.

Advertisers can pay as little as .50 per click in upwards of $5 (even more). Often campaigns are budgeted for a period of time. The amount budgeted will be rationed over a period of days, the less days involved or the higher price per click the higher the ranking. The more traffic you receive will increase the possibility of a sale and a click through fee in your account.

In short, Google’s idea to market itself from the inside out has changed the way websites are doing business. Starting as an AdSense affiliate is a practical approach to making money using one of the hottest tools on the Internet today.

Unleashed - The Unknown Secret To Cashing In On Pay Per Click Marketing

Many people spend obscene amounts of cash on pay per click marketing such as Google Adwords and lose a ton of money doing it. This is because they are using traditional tactics. While these tactics do work for some, most fail at it. How do you change this paradigm? This article reveals a simple Adwords system that most people don't know about.

When you create a new Adwords campaign, you are given the choice between creating a keyword-targeted campaign or a site-targeted campaign. Most people choose the first choice, which has the ads showing on the search engine's results page. However, the second choice, the placement-targeted campaign, is what we are going to be discussing.

A placement-targeted campaign allows you to target your ads on sites which have Google Adsense ads on them. In other words, it's like the Content Network option, only you have the choice to now target your ads to which site you want them to display on.

So what I want you to do now is to pick a keyword which you know receives a lot of searches. Find the top 3 sites for that keyword, and see if they display Adsense ads. Are they prominent on the page? If they are, that's good news. You can target your ads to display there.

The benefits of these are immense. You can literally pay only $0.01 per click compared to the astronomical costs from normal pay per click advertising! This is because placement targeting works by CPM (cost per thousand impressions), which you means you get to site the price for every thousand impressions your ad receives. If you get a good click through rate for your ads, this can be a great traffic generator.

The Easiest Way to Make Money Online - Google AdSense

Dominating forums, discussions and newsletters, Google AdSense, and tales of how participants have made millions of dollars just by working from home, is all that anyone's been able to talk about for the past few months. Considered one of the easiest ways to make a profit on the Internet, Google AdSense has been dominating the Internet marketing business since its arrival.

It's placing advertisements on web pages that receive high traffic for in demand keywords that makes up AdSense's success. The number of clicks you receive from your site depends on the cost-per-click to the advertiser and the higher the cost, the more clicks you receive. For this reason, placing low cost-per-click keywords on pages that don't receive many hits is not a smart way to profit.

As millions of Internet users click on the web each day, it's not a shock that a program like Google AdSense would be incredibly successful.

Realizing that their homepage lies underneath tiny ads promoting the services of others could be a blow to the pride of those who are new to this market. However, their doubts and fears are immediately laid to rest once they understand that those tiny ads can earn them even more money.

Successful webmasters and publishers alike are combining two major factors in order to make money easier and faster through Google AdSense:

1) Locate the highest traffic pages on your website by reviewing your logs. You'll be able to see the number of visitors who take advantage of all the free affiliate marketing resources and e-books being offered on your website. Basically, you'll make more money if your advertisements are working correctly and being clicked on a lot.

2) It may sound backward, but place AdSense links on web pages that produce little or no profit. It's tricky, but this will reduce the number of potential customers lost to other websites promoted on your page.

Combined, these two factors can work together quite effectively and are a great way to produce the least amount of revenue from high traffic pages. This strategy is often used by those who want to make a few extra bucks through AdSense. Information websites, whose focus is on delivering affiliate link free content to their visitors, are particularly fond of this strategy since they're able to gain a profit for their services.

It's not shocking that Google works hard to update AdSense when possible to maintain a satisfactory image since so many people are using the program and making money with it.

It's not impossible that a second tier could be added to AdSense. There's no doubt that improvements will constantly be made because of all the people spending time in the program and getting in to this kind of marketing. Webmasters and publishers throughout the world would no doubt be incredibly happy if they ever learned they would be able to sign up for sub-affiliates and increase their earnings ten fold.

One of the latest features of AdSense is a tool that allows up to 200 URLs to be filtered, giving webmasters the option to block low offers and competitors from the pages. What a great way to take advantage of some offers while discarding ones that seem pointless.

The possibilities are endless with the Google AdSense marketing program. However, there are some things that threaten the program. Someone could take advantage of the easy money making process of Internet marketing, causing Google to break down, killing AdSense in the process. Making money online would surely not be as simple since people would have to revert to the old Internet marketing techniques is this were to happen.

But while there are still people who thrive on profiting from using their talents to make money online, Google AdSense will remain popular. After all, aside from the strict rules and regulations Google enforces over AdSense, it could take quite some time for AdSense privileges to be taken away.

Understanding Google AdSense

Google AdSense allows webmasters to dynamically serve content relevant advertisements on web pages. If the visitor clicks one of the AdSense ads served to the website, the website owner is credited for the referral. Google's AdSense program essentially allows approved websites to dynamically serve Google's pay-per-click AdWord results.

Website maintenance related to AdSense is very easy and requires very little effort. Webmasters need only to insert a Google generated java script into the web page or website template.
Google's spider parses the AdServing website and serves ads that relate to the website's content. Google uses a combination of keyword matching and context analysis to determine what ads should be served. The java script calls the ad from Google and will ensure that ads are served each time a visitor goes to the web page.

Early on Google implemented a filtering system that allowed webmasters to prevent a specific domain's ads from being served on any websites in their account. Ad blocking meant that webmasters could prevent their competitor's ads from being dynamically served on their websites.

Google provides a wide variety of ad formats to match the most suitable option with a website. Webmasters can select from a handful of preformatted towers, inline rectangles, banners and buttons. The ad boxes can be modified by webmasters to resemble the website's color scheme. Examples of how different the various text boxes and color schemes appear on similarly themed sites can be viewed at:

http://www.ringtones-central.com (scroll to the bottom)
or
http://www.police-central.com (download left side)
http://www.police-supplies.com (scroll to the bottom)

Ads can be geo-targeted based on the visitor's location. Advertisements containing content in English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Japanese, or Spanish are all available.

Channels
Google recently introduced channels, enhancing AdSense reporting.

When a channel is selected Google modifies the java script to include additional tracking. The additional tracking information allows webmasters to track a variety of metrics across their sites. Channels can be used to measure performance on various domains, differences in revenue with various ad sizes, or placement. By assigning each group of pages to a specific channel and comparing results in custom channel reports webmasters can work at increasing their AdSense revenue.

Optimizing
Google determines the content of the ads that are shown, webmasters serious about earning revenue from Google AdSense can use the following guidelines to optimize their website and ensure that targeted and relevant ads are served. If Google's spider has not crawled the site and determined the nature of the content, public service ads may be served. Public service ads will not accrue any AdSense revenue if clicked. As a result Google allows webmasters to designate alternate ads. Alternate ads allow webmasters to utilize the ad space in the event that Google is unable to serve targeted ads to the web page. By specifying an alternate image, HTML page, or ad server the advertising space can always being used effectively.

1.) Web page content on pages that ads are served should be static not dynamic.

2.) Ensure that the robot.txt does not prevent the web page from being spidered. Robots.txt file's will need to be removed or the following text will need to bedded to allow Google's content bot to crawl the site: User-agent: Media partners - Google

3.) If the website contains frames, select the ‘framed page’ checkbox when generating the ad layout code for that website.

4.) The body of the page and title of the page should contain contextual words that indicate a common theme on the web page.

Revenue Earned
Although Google doesn't disclose the exact revenue share or percentage that webmasters will earn, webmasters will receive a portion of the amount paid for clicks on Google ads on websites.

AdSense Conclusion:
Overall, Google AdWords can provide great supplemental income to webmasters with content sites. Implementing and maintaining Google AdSense program on a content site requires very little effort and can often bring a steady stream of additional revenue for webmasters.

Learn the Basics of Writing Successful Pay Per Click Ads

At first glance, writing a pay per click advertising can seem intimidating. You are trying to convey a lot of information in a very small space. To further complicate matters, you are paying for each click and you are being scored (by the search engine) on how effective your ads are in generating clicks. In other words, when you put an ad out there, it better be good. It needs to get clicks (which cost you money) and make you sales. Here's the outline you need to follow to write successful ads:

Headline: get the searchers attention. Draw them in to your ad. Five times as many people will read your headline as will read the body of your ad. The headline is the most important element!

First line: Share the biggest, most powerful benefit of your product. If it cures cancer, tell the searcher right now.

Second line: Tell the searcher what the product's most important feature is.

Display URL: most advertisers overlook the display URL. This makes it a huge opportunity for you. Be creative. Work in a feature or a benefit if you can. Either way, be sure to include the main keyword related to your product.

Destination URL: this is the simplest step, but also very important. Make sure you are sending your clicks to the right place.

Bonus tip: split test! Run two ads for every keyword. It doesn't take much extra work. The ads can be virtually the same. In fact, keep them very similar. The idea is to see what generates more clicks and more sales. Once you have a winner, stop running the loser and try to improve on the winner (split test again).

Writing pay per click advertisements can be intimidating. Break it down piece-by-piece, as described above, and you will be on your way to success. Always test your ads and look for ways to educate yourself.

Google Adsense Tip

If you're new to using Google AdSense to earn money with your website or blog, you may be wondering how to get more clicks, or get more money for each click. Thankfully, there are some excellent Google AdSense tips that can help you out, so let's look at some of the best:

Google AdSense Tip #1: Place your ad blocks above the fold. The "fold" of a webpage, is the spot where you have to start using your scroll bar to move down the page and continue reading. By placing your AdSense blocks above this part of the page, you're more likely to get clicks on those ads. This is because many website visitors never bother to scroll down, and brand new website users don't even know they can scroll down to see more content.

Google AdSense Tip #2: Weave your ads into the content. Most website owners put their AdSense ads off to the side, on the top or on the bottom. If people are reading an article or tutorial on your site though, you'll get more attention to your ads if the ad blocks are within that content instead of surrounding it.

Put an ad at the top left of the start of an article is an excellent position for instance, as is starting the article normally, then placing your Google AdSense block at the start of the second paragraph. Try to make sure the ads are to the left or right of the text too, so that the text actually flows around it instead of being above or below the ad block.

Google AdSense Tip #3: Use the large or medium sized square or rectangle ad blocks. The 250x250, the 300x250, and the 336x280 blocks all have the highest click through ratios, particularly when used in the positions noted above.

Google AdSense Tip #4: Blend your ads. If you're using a white background on your website pages, also use a white background on your Google AdSense blocks. Don't use a border around the ads, and make the ad titles and links blue. Most website users - particularly ones who are new to using the Internet - expect clickable links to be blue. So by making your Google AdSense ads also use blue for the titles and links, you'll increase the chances of getting clicks.

If however, your website is designed with a colored background - let's say green for example - then you'll want your Google AdSense blocks to have that same background color. And if your website uses orange links within the pages, then make your AdSense links orange as well.

The whole point of blending the ads in, is to make them look as if they're a natural part of the content.

Google AdSense Tip #5: Write one topic per page. When you focus the content on each page of your website, and really make it a narrow topic focus, you increase the chances of getting highly relevant, high paying keywords which match the content of that page.

Writing a page about dog training for instance, is fine of course but a bit too generic. Writing a page about potty training your puppy is a bit better, but writing a page specifically about potty training your golden retriever puppy is much better. Keep the topic as focused and on target as you can, then link to other related focused pages - such as potty training your german shepherd, rottweiler, etc. - throughout your site.

Making Money through Pay - Per - Click Advertising (PPC)

Over the last five years, Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising has become a very popular way to effectively market products online. PPC is also one of the most cost-effective strategies for internet advertising at all levels. According to Forbes magazine, PPC and other similar forms of search engine advertising currently generate around 5 billion dollars of business revenue a year and is expected to increase to around 8 billion dollars by the year 2008.

Before search engines began to allow “sponsored listings”, the only real way to market online was to optimize your website’s content, and drive traffic to your website in whatever method you could, so that eventually, your site would be “ranked” well. If you wanted your ad to be displayed on the first page of a targeted keyword search, you’d better have a well-rounded and reasonably sophisticated strategy to improve your ranking. Furthermore, once you got ranked, you had to keep optimizing your site in order to stay there.

PPC has opened up a tremendous opportunity for smaller businesses to market their products online, and successfully compete with the “heavy hitters” in their industry without having to spend an enormous amount of capital! Let's take a quick look at how PPC Search Engines work. These engines allow advertisers to place a small ad on their engine, which will be displayed as a “sponsored listing”. The ads will include a link to your websites url. Advertisers will place a bid for what they will be willing to pay each time a targeted prospect clicks on their ad. For example:

Let's say a company who markets pet grooming supplies wants to drive traffic to their new website. They set up an account with a search engine that offers PPC, such as “Google Adwords”, or “Yahoo Search Marketing”. Once they write their ad, they will enter a list of targeted keywords that they expect their prospects to type when searching for their products. They will place their bid for each click, according to their own budget, and desired position. Lastly, they will place a daily budget, which will tell the search engine to stop displaying their ad once their account has reached a certain amount.

The highest bidder for a certain keyword or phrase will then have the site ranked as number 1 in the PPC Search Engines followed by the second and third highest bidder, up to the last number that have placed a bid on the same keyword or phrase. Your ads then will appear prominently on the results pages based on the dollar amount bid you will agree to “pay per click.” How do you make money by using PPC into your affiliate marketing business? Most affiliate programs only pay when a sale is made or a lead delivered after a visitor has clicked through your site and made a purchase on your affiliate’s site. Your earnings will not always be the same as they will be dependent on the web site’s content, traffic volume and conversion rate (generally speaking, anything over 2% is usually considered a good conversion rate). Be sure you are carefully monitoring your campaign’s performance so that you can make adjustments when necessary. If you have successfully driven 100 customers to your affiliate’s site, and have not made any commission yet, you may want to consider promoting someone else’s product!

Also be careful not to “over bid” for clicks just to get a higher ranking. I made that costly mistake when I first began. I had a good affiliate product that had established a proven track record already. They had a conversion rate of around 5% with very few refunds being paid back. I thought that in order to make the best of my campaign meant that I had to always be within the top 2 ads. I set my bid at over 2 dollars per click, with a $10 daily budget. This only brought me 5 clicks per day. A 5% conversion meant that I would get paid once for every 20 visitors that clicked through which would cost roughly $40. (4 days X $10 daily budget). My commission per sale was only 35.98, which meant that my net profit was around $4.00! It didn’t take long for me to get the picture.

What I did was lower my click bids to around 30-50 cents. This would give me much more “bang for the buck”, even though my ad would not be placed # 1 every time. It may take a little longer, but with this strategy, I was able to generate 30-50 clicks per day for the same $10 budget. That meant an average of 1-2 sales per day, which brought me $60-70 in profit. That may not sound like much, but keep in mind that I was just beginning, and had a limited budget. After you grow your business, you may be able to set your daily budget to $50, or even $500 per day, which would amount to 1500 clicks, which could literally bring you thousands of dollars in profit per day!
